About this role

Mitosis, as an EOL L1, aims to create its own Universe encompassing products, ecosystem communities, and external communities. We seek a visionary Community & Ecosystem Builder who can help us craft and nurture the Mitosis Universe. This role is perfect for someone who can blend creativity with strategy, creating an immersive world that feels as engaging and expansive as a game or movie universe.

Responsibilities:

  • World-Building: Conceptualize and develop the Mitosis Universe, including its products, ecosystem communities, and external communities. Use creative tools like illustrations, storytelling, and design to bring this universe to life.

  • Community Engagement: Engage with current community members and attract new contributors, fostering a sense of belonging and excitement about the Mitosis Universe.

  • Content Creation: Develop and oversee a content strategy that includes illustrations, narrative storytelling, and other creative assets that build and expand the Mitosis Universe.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including design, marketing, and product, as well as external partners, to ensure a cohesive and compelling universe.

  • Strategic Growth: Create and implement strategies to grow the Mitosis ecosystem, leveraging community feedback and innovative ideas to drive engagement and expansion.

  • Ecosystem Development: Identify and nurture relationships with potential ecosystem partners, contributors, and services that can enhance and expand the Mitosis Universe.

  • Educational Outreach: Develop resources and programs to educate the community and contributors about the Mitosis Universe, ensuring they are well-equipped to participate and contribute effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in community-building, world-building, or similar roles, preferably within the blockchain, gaming, or entertainment industries.

  • Strong creative skills, with the ability to create compelling illustrations and narratives.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for storytelling.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute growth strategies.

  • Passion for blockchain technology, DeFi, and community-driven projects.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools to engage with and grow a community.

  • Experience working with diverse teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Hiring Process

For applicants with less than 7 years of experience, a probationary period of 3 months is applied, and there is no difference in salary during the probationary period.

  1. Document Screening

    • Required documents: Resume (pdf or URL), Portfolio

  2. Interview with Lead Designer

    • An interview with a lead of the design team to assess design philosophy and experience. This may include a design challenge or task.

  3. Culture Interview

    • An interview to evaluate cultural fit, alignment with company direction and values, and to discuss resume and personal introductions.

  4. Final Acceptance

    • Upon final acceptance, coordinate with the people team for onboarding.
